Jordan told the Bulls he would retire on the spot if they traded Scottie for Shawn Kemp

I am on MJ’s side for obvious reasons. He has always spoken with great deal of respect, warmth and appreciation about Scottie. In fact it came as a huge surprise that Pip said all this crap about MJ and Phil. Everyone says he just tries to sell his book, but man, have some dignity… I literally stopped liking Scottie

Scottie has a warped sense of friendship and discernment, and it unfortunately reflects itself in other facets of his life as well.

Not only did Jordan help induct Pippen into the HOF, but when Jordan got inducted he mentioned Pippen as a great teammate.

If Pippen was drafted by Sacramento that year and expected to be “the guy”. He wouldn’t have made top 75. He would have been a journeyman that bounced around like he did after he left the bulls. He got to play with, learn from and win with the goat. Most players would’ve loved that position. Hopefully Pippen can figure out what’s really wrong with himself.

All these years it seemed like such a mutual relationship of humble admiration and respect. MJ put Scottie in his starting five all time greats, along side him, Hakeem Olajuwan, Magic and James Worthy. Said that so many times that with Scottie he can't lose. Now if MJ said that about anybody you know that's a bonafide accolade. Sure MJ snubbed Scottie at times when they were young. MJ has a firey competitive persona, some people (i.e. Scottie) may not have appreciated that attitude - that's understandable but MJ was trying to draw the best out of Scottie, cuz while quieter MJ knew Scottie had that same fire in him that he'd show MJ on the floor, so it helped Scottie's career long term.

To ruin that relationship or should I say perception - because it was apparently never a reality on Pippen's side to begin with, Tarnishes Scottie Pippen's reputation. Shows ugly pettiness that didn't need to exist. Makes the Scottie Pippen MJ knew and the one Pippen showed to the world for all these decades as a fraudulent individual. A Fake. I don't know who Scottie Pippen is anymore. Quite frankly once you cross my family you're done to me too. It'll be up to God now if they can forgive each other but I don't know where you start when that foundation no longer exists.

It's jealousy an envy man.
MJ was the guy that Scottie wanted to be. I think also Scottie never really got over the tough love tactics that MJ used throughout those years would use to bring his teammates up with him.

There is no way you don't give condolences to your teammate when their father passes way. I can't even comprehend how that's possible.

Here's my only wish. I really hope that neither Michael Jordan or Phil Jackson never respond or comment on this situation. I think this whole thing is ridiculous and shameful. Scottie Pippen should thank God in heaven that he was a part of that Legacy or else we wouldn't be having this conversation

What Simmons said in this video is proof of what i am saying about the media fueling the animosity between them. He said MJ did leave the team for 20 months! I am like he retired because his father died! Scottie refused to go back into the game when his team needed him. The media is always trying to start crap

Scottie Pippen keeps proving that HE is his own worst Enemy. Anyone that watched him from day one of his career knows that Pippen isn't the "Smartest" person. As has been brought up, he keeps doing dumb things. Starting from his first contract, to the surgery, to not going back in the game, to now running out of money and stabbing Jordan in the back!
Pippen keeps doing this to himself. He should be Mad at.... Himself.

Pippen should be mad at the footage of Oakley slapping him around like a two dollar _oe!

I completely agree with your take on Mike and Pips relationship. Pippen has always come off as envious and it’s not something recent from The Last Dance fallout. What was always his reason for refusing to check back in against the Knicks? Phil always drew up the play for Michael. Michael is gone so I feel like it should’ve been my turn. How could anyone sound more envious? “They talk about the flu game but they never talk about the bad back game”….you played terrible! He has always shown those hater tendencies and Mike has always had nothing but praise for this dude.

I peeped a long time ago that Scottie had Animosity towards Michael Jordan. I will say as far back as when he 1st started emerging as a member of the media. He always had little slights or off-colored comments about Michael Jordan to say, but people never really acknowledged it. I would say for the better part of the last 15 years he has been speaking ill of Michael Jordan in some way it just didn't come to light as much as it has now.

MJ has never publicly expressed any disrespect for any other team mates or coaches including Pippen. However Pippen began showing MJ disrespect as soon as MJ went to play baseball after his father died by immediately taking over MJs locker without even asking or it being assigned to him by the team or the coaching staff and it was even reported by the press and commentators how disrespectful that was and you can still find interviews from his his teammates and the coaches to this day commenting on the disrespect. Pippen was always in his shadow and always will be and he's hated MJ because of that. However that's juvenile because EVERY SINGLE PLAYER was and IS in the shadow of the greatest player to ever play in game and with only a few exceptions and absolute ridiculous comparisons have found ways to deal with this, Pippen has chosen to try to attack Jordan because he KNOWS that he can never beat him or his legacy.

Bill Simmons tried to justify that MJ left for 20 months. Dude... his Father was murdered. That’s why he left smh. He didn’t just quit out of the blue.

This channel is the best man, nothing like it on YouTube. Pip lost respect from his wife and unfortunately he allowed that to cause himself to do things that were dishonorable now he lost respect from most people.

The Last Dance featured MJ saying that he wouldn’t have won those titles without Scottie. The Last Dance was pretty fair to Pippen because you take the good with the bad. You can’t leave out what Pippen did when he sat out the play for Kukoc. Yes, Pippen looked bad, but he looked worse when he actually did it. It wasn’t the end of Pippen’s journey in the documentary and he bounced back from that by winning 3 more titles as a critical piece of the team. He should have owned what he did and not lash out about it because people would have asked why that moment was left out.

Jordan has handled things with a lot more dignity and shown Scottie a lot of love.

I believe we have found the “Judas complex” in Scottie Pippen. How can you after all these years reveal what’s always been in your heart? You were never a convert. So, when you have a secret hater, you can’t help but to excel in EVERYTHING that you do, and that’s what happened to Michael Jordan.
