the purpose of these videos is not to put down the manufacturer, but to give a heads up for new or old owners on problems that may arise. modifications that helped our saws perform better. we have probably well exceeded the hours and amount of logs run through our mills they were built for. giving testament how well these mill are built

So I just got a new hudson patriot. Putting it together now. I have a hudson winch and it's great. My 1st chioce was a woodmiser but about a 4 week wait and it is a little smaller. I am in KY and have a local hudson dealer, thanks to Dave's saw mills I got one today. It was 5300 and I got a extra 6ft track and box of blades making it 5800. Before taxes. It has a 15hp motor, not sure why, it is advertised at 13hp. Anyway I will be putting it on a concrete slab no way 4x4 will work when you are going to put a 28" log on it.

I have the Oscar mill for about 5 years r so. Never had one single problem with it. Great mill. I drove over to barnaveld and picked it up . They even gave me a little Stihl saw with it

I have a 428 Oscar and I have had little trouble with it. I replaced the hand crank with a 300lb warn winch and a block and tackle to slow down the scale numbers. I raised the lower cross members so I can cut a thicker board. First thing that will rub is the engine mount bolts now . I was thinking of steel tubing for under the track . Priced it but instead I bought a used 42' frehauff flat trailer. I had made enough track that I can cut 39' beam and the sawmill has room yet at the end. I spaced the track up off the right rub rail and right frame rail with 2" long bolts and nuts . I tried to adjust the bolts to level it before welding each bolt head and nut to track and frame. Suspension is off the trailer and ut makes it a little over knee high. I plan to gut the mostly rotten floor out from under the track area so it is easier to clean.

Awesome video guys, thanks for all the great advice and helpful modifications.
I was wondering if you guys could give part numbers for the blade guide and tensioner pulley.

We went ahead and just bought 2-30’ sticks of 2.5” angle iron to place on a slab for an upgraded rail system

Wow! That's a lot of improvements. Looks to me like you had to make the best of a bad piece of junk. You shouldn't have to go through all that to have a working saw. Thanks though. I know not to buy it.

This is now a Two Brothers Saw. Not for the incapable hobbyist. Still needs an improved rail system.
...Business idea, tongue in cheek
Two Brothers Sawmills
Almost Professional and Dependable
Completely Certifiable

I have the hunter sawyer and its trash as well I’m dumbfounded there is not many videos on how trash it is and how to fix it. How is this company still selling trash. Enough to loose all faith with a Christian company.
