If you don’t mind advice from an old person, I highly recommend wearing an apron if you’re worried about kid hands and stains—also, bonus pockets.
I’ve also embroidered, patched, and dyed clothes to cover stains.
There are so many creative possibilities!

Sashiko stitching is great for mindful mending and getting further life out of loved pieces, and it looks very boho cute 😊

Love the Knox pinafore. Fun to make and very much a workhorse pattern. ❤

Sew liberated has a pants making class using the chanterelle pants. It was really good. So helpful.

Great plans! I need to pull together a capsule wardrobe. I listened to Project 333 recently and I think it would simplify my life. I’ve made a couple pair of Pomona pants and have the Persephone pattern waiting in the wings also. I haven’t made a proper pair of zip pants yet. It’s also in my future plans. Currently, I’m working on a button up shirt. Also, I love my Vivo Barefoot shoes! Glad to see them in your line up.

To dupe your linen pants matchy matchy sewing club has the recess pants that are pretty close. Very beginner friendly.

I think you should start your sewing with something simple. You want to do so much. Maybe start with a Tilly and the Buttons pattern because she holds your hand through great instructions. Think about one item at a time and learning the techniques for that really well. Good luck!

I plan on making the madhu top and not using elastic at the waist.

The Modern Sewing Company is a great pattern company here in the UK. She has joggers and a top that you might like, also their Worker trousers and a boatneck top. I have made quite a few and her patterns are excellent. She also has video tutorials and lessons.
