Timber wolves are larger than the grey wolf but are just as majestic. It's said wolves were created to keep man in check, they're highly intelligent much much more than most people think they mate for life and function as a pack (family). They are by far my favorite animal and we as a collective could learn so much from them. Loyalty, love and no nonsense. If we learnt from them and based our society on their rules we would be 1000% different for the better

I"ve seen this clip a number of times and have always been shocked at just how big that wolf is. Other uploads have sound and a bit more footage, and there was a suggestion that the dog did actually live to fight another day. That's some wolf there though. I can't imagine coming across it when out for a walk in the woods 😮

Totally incredible! This was a once in a lifetime encounter so feel lucky. I think I saw black wolf this evening in CA near woods. But I'm not really sure what it was? I just saw something larger than a coyote, and her black dash across a road! Incredible exp.

What I learned here is don't go barking up the wrong tree and dogs like to do that. That dog don't want them problems with that wolf. Imagine if it was a pack of them and that dog started barking at them.
