To your point about supports having free super cooldowns that ruin the effect of skill-play from the other roles, I say yes and no. On one hand, it’s a super bummer to hit a nice nano blade, just to get one kill, then Suzu immortality field life grip, then nobody dies. It’s not fun for the DPS, and honestly a little boring for support (coming from a bap player)

On the other hand, the most boring role in this game used to not be rank, it was support. They had ALMOST zero playmaking ability other than damage control and hoping your team clutches. Old support was spectator mode. So having some sort of response defensively is a good thing, but it’s a tough balance.

I think certain abilities like life grip are boring and stinky, but ones like sleep dart aren’t complained about as much, because it requires the support to have good timing, awareness, and cooldown management. It’s a reward for a good play, that can be countered effectively. Same with immortality field, (granted it would have to be nerfed quite a lot to be more situational) it rewards the Bap player being patient, aware, and precise. I wish more abilities were like that instead of pressing shift on a teammate, saving them from anything.

Also nerf Genji.
