'Transference' - Time Lapse with Original Music

This is my second time-lapse video. I wanted to do something with a bit of a surreal look to it, so I came up with this M.C. Escher-esque world where both glasses exist in the same space, yet are affected by time in different ways. Over a period of about five hours, the ice slowly melts in one glass and rises into a tower of frozen cubes in the other.
Once again, the music is original. I composed this epic piece using mostly percussion instruments and water sound effects. The dripping water adds a sense of tranquility, while the sound of the ice falling into the glass gives it a heavy, plodding type feel. The melodic parts are played on a celesta and marimba. Additionally, there is a highly unusual instrument used at the beginning called a waterphone, which I thought was appropriate. The choir is singing in Latin, the nonsensical phrase "Semper Ubi Sub Ubi," which translates into a vocal pun in English: "Always where under where." It basically just repeats this phrase over and over again, and ends with "Amen." I know it's silly and has nothing to do with melting ice, but I didn't feel like taking the time to write meaningful lyrics in English. The software has a hard time producing intelligible English anyway.

How did you do that? I mean, is that some image trick or this is a real thing (chemichal / physical)?
