The man who never made a mistake never made anything! Thanks for sharing Paul :-)

This is 1 of the many reasons why I love your channel. Even though you're a great technician (diagnostic) you are human and you're not worried of posting your mistakes. It makes it much easier for someone like myself to know when I make mistakes that it's alright, stuff happens. 👍

Heh, Yeah i never ordered a special relay and after the job the problem was still there. What happend? Yeah, next time install the new working relay in, instead the old broken one ;)
by the way. i have had belts missing in cars and there has bean cars that have metal idel pully normally.
And cars that has metal pully in there now, but when it was new it has had plastic top on it.
So it is good habit to look should it has plastic cover over the metal or not as it could have bean melted away when the pully bearing was solid and so broken...

Man I just bought a pair of pants and it kept falling down, so I went and got another pair of pants, and same thing...took a closer look, turns out all I needed was a belt 😁 thanks for sharing 👍🏼

Lol. Guys, he missed the belt and STILL posted the video. SD is the man and we know this. Keep up the good work and thank you for all the videos/knowledge.

Some smart guy once said, "You must learn from the mistakes of others. You'll never live long enough to make them all yourself." Then there's my personal motto: "If it can be done wrong, I can do it." Between you, me, and that other smart guy, you're still the man! Thanks for sharing. :D

We've all overlooked the obvious, probably thinking that it's just too obvious.

Great video Paul 👍

The good point on posting this video is that the next time I'll be diagnosing a problem on a car I'll remember this one and think: "never skip the basic checks, do not take anything for granted". Great lesson and thank you for posting your mistakes too!

Great video! FYI, Nissan has the drain plugs in the bottom of the rad. They use a flush plastic plug that used a Philips head. Also, I’m glad to see that you take working on cars safely, seriously. Nothing bothers me more than seeing someone working on a car without a jack stand. A 3 cent O ring is not a good thing to rely on.

You usually seem to have more fun doing the diagnosis and letting others do the dirty work. It's more satisfying when you suffer a bit. It's like raising children.

Kinda like an Eric O video, weed wacker and lawnmower running in background. But, the South Hills boy wonder did a proper diagnosis.. great voltage drop illustration by the way.

that humm you heard is probably the timing chains rubbing against the small cam to cam chain tensioners. Usually sounds like a bad pulley bearing or low power steering fluid. But its usually the timing chains on that particular vintage of VQ35 engine. very common.

It did make me smile, but thanks all the same for sharing the learning. The only way never to make a mistake, is never do anything.
