Lowe's is more for homeowners and Home Depot is more for builders. I used to go both places.

Home depot. Milwaukee is there. That alone is enough for me to shop there. Plus, I like the stock.

Lowes is the superior store. I can always find a lumber cart. Employees don't avoid eye contact and the stores are generally more pleasant to be in. Plus Lowes offered a veterans discount for almost 25 years. HD just started in 2021. Finally my daughter worked at HD. And to reward her for getting forklift certified and working harder than everyone else in the department, they constantly short shifted when she was working. She ended up being routinely yelled at by 60 year old contract drivers because she was unable to keep up with the delivery staging and forking onto their teucks. She was 18.

I'm a home depot kinda gal, just like my hubby and my Pops. But it's whatever everyone's shopping preferences are. You're doing a great job, congratulations on your home.

From a general contractor, my opinion is that Lowe’s is for the diyers, and Home Depot is for the pros. This is why you will find more home goods and decoration like items at Lowe’s then you will at Home Depot.!

I love Lowe's. I'm a plant parent. I have gotten most of my plants from the 50% off discount rack.

Home Depot is used to build your home
Lowes is used to make your home look pretty.
So both are great just need to know what you’re going for.

Either is fine with me, I have both within 5 minutes of each other. I tend to compare prices and also item availability.

I’m a Lowe’s girl for no other reason than customer service. For whatever reason, every Home Depot I’ve been to has been not great in that regard
