Concertpiece for Viola and Piano by George Enesco
Performed by James Preucil and William Koehler
7/25/2021 at Barrington United Methodist Church

Concertpiece is full to the brim with showy techniques meant to impress an audience, but at heart, it’s a sweet, charming, and playful piece of music. The melodies flow unhindered and free with a wide variety of delightful textures, some of which border on impressionism. The piece takes the listener on an adventurous French journey which amounts to a perfectly satisfying ending.

Unfortunately, the camera died right before the end, but I was recording the audio separately so I still included it with just a black screen.

This was the final piece on my recital, a benefit concert for "Growing Hope Globally, a Christian Response to Hunger." In total, my performance raised $1,652 for the project.

The camera ran out of batteries 30 seconds before the end of the piece, but I was recording the audio separately so I just put it in with a blank screen

Professor Koehler is an amazing accompanist... like whatever you want he will give to you.

Nice! (also I might be wrong but I think the correct spelling of the composer's name is George Enescu, not Enesco)
