On a junkyard engine its easier if you remove intake manifold, distributor and airbox. Getting to the connectors located on the intake side of the engine is easier this way plus you can access from underneath. The harness tube back there is held in place with a 10mm nut on one end at pcv biz and 10mm bolt at water pump end. Harness can be installed with engine in car. Suggest removing intake rear bracket and also getting underneath to reach the back of the engine. Oil filter can also be removed for better access.

Im sure the fuse box part could be done easily. i watched the video to see how to get it to come out of the dash since the obd1 just comes off on the shock towers

Ok so my situation is that I’m just trying to remove the harness from the firewall right. I want to keep the harness on the engine, because I’m pulling the whole engine and swapping it into another car. So I don’t necessarily need to take it off the engine, just need it disconnected from the firewall so I can pull the engine out and swap it into another car. Anybody got a link to a video explaining how to do that? Btw, my engine im pulling is coming from a 96 Honda Civic Ex and it’s an automatic D16-Y8. I’m putting it into a 5 speed 99 Honda Civic DX that had a D16-Y7 in it and I’m pretty sure it’s just plug and play, but I wanna know step by step what to do. I’m down to the harness and pulling the engine. Axles and shocks have already been pulled on both vehicles, so my engine hoist is just waiting to do it’s job.

What a terrible video! Way too jittery, fast, and brutal. Didn't teach anybody anything.
