Destiny Taken King: The Best and Worst Exotic Armor - April Tier List Update

Показать описание
A new bunch of exotics and some alterations to some existing exotics means it's probably a good time to update the exotic tier list. Unfortunately, this "new" batch of exotics does basically nothing to shift any meta in any direction. All of the exotics that we got are pretty lackluster in terms of performance.

Weapon list will be going up later this week, but spoilers: not much happened.

Any exotics not mentioned in this video have not been adjusted in their ratings, making the videos below still pretty relevant. If they have, it was a very minor movement and generally did not affect the exotic's performance. The only exception to this might be the res exotics, which were "nerfed" thanks to the changes to resurrecting in Destiny.

If you enjoyed the video, a positive rating is always appreciated.

If purifier robes blinded enemies upon any radiance activation it would be top tier for sunsingers

Hey Datto. Great video, as always. Very helpful. I just wanted to thank you for everything you've done for the Destiny community. It wouldn't be as great as it is right now if it wasn't for you. You make good, informative videos that help everyone, and you don't just open a bunch of engrams and then end the video. You're the best Destiny YouTuber and you always will be. And I love Battleborne and all the new content you're putting on this channel.

Thank you.

Khepris sting is hands down one of the best exotics. I think where Datto faulted is that he thought the invis only worked on bladedancers. *It does not*. It works on all 3 Hunter Subclasses, allowing you too instead have envenomed on your smoke bomb instead of Invis, Encore instead of Stalker, or losing nothing on Gunslinger since you can be invisible, allowing you to rez teammates, but still able to get that boss killing Gold Gun for the bonus points. The melee bonuses are just extra for the fun aspect, but the invis is where it really shines

I believe eternal warrior only grants the unstoppable perk, with NO ARMOR BOOST so it's basically useless

My team played against a self res warlock with Purifier Robes a while ago. Friend got blinded but still shotgunned the warlock down immediately. Classic!

You definitely underrated Skull of Dire Ahamkara. It lets you use other grenade types besides Scatter, and the damage resistance during Nova Bomb has an excellent synergy with the change to Embrace the Void, potentially allowing you tank a hammer or Golden Gun, destroy everybody with the Nova Bomb, AND get immediately healed and activate a boosted (enhanced siphon) Energy Drain effect. Kills are way more consistent for me with Annihilate. I have to question whether you've actually used this helmet much. It's really good thanks to the recent Voidwalker changes. Not as good as Nothing Manacles, but a viable alternative with the right loadout.

Khepri's sting as a nightstalker or gunslinger are actually nice . Obviously invisibility won't allow you towalk up to an enemy and mele them without them noticing, but it makes it a little harder to kill you which, paired with shadestep or slide and throwing knife, they can actually be quite surprising .

Correction on Eternal Warrior, it does not give an armor bonus, only the perk does. At leas that is what the year one version did.

Khepri's Sting is really good for Trials. I use it sometimes on larger maps to go invisible while using Gunslinger. Surprisingly useful. You can catch opponents off guard, as usually we check what our opponents are using as the match is loading up.

I always hover over Sunsingers with my shotty. If I get disoriented I just fire blindly and they die :P

Kephri's Sting is actually super useful in PvP because the invisibility effect works for all subclasses, which means Gunslingers now have a way to cloak at will, and Nightstalkers don't have to spec for invis on their smoke bombs.

note on khepri's sting, the lingering damage only occurs if you melee them while you're invisible. kinda sucks. i wish the descriptions would actually describe what the exotics do

What if the feedback fence also disoriented things slightly, not blind per se, but maybe add a screen effect and knock the camera around a bit?

I love khepri's Sting. Adding utility to become invisible as gunslinger is amazing. Along with added for to throwing knife. Now that it returned in year 2, I have benched my Warlock and started running my Hunter again.

Kepris Sting:

There's a bit of a... Bug? with it's function.

You still get the melee bonus damage if you shotgun first, then melee IMMEDIATELY after. My brother discovered this while playing in a mission that he was slightly underleved for and was using this, plus the escape-artist perk, to chain two x4 melees + 2 shotgun blasts against enemies that would destroy him normally (Yellow bar captains) before they could reliably target him.

It's great if your going solo and need to skirmishes out a few really tough enemies without having to expose yourself to too much damage.

Where would u put the Ram with the energy drain buff

The feedback Fence gauntlets were so much fun in Iron Banner, although it always seemed to be the same people that would fall for it throughout a match
