People hate credit cards because they cant control their spending habits and hate the idea of having to pay a bank back for a loan. Irresponsible cry babies

And that's the reason our national debt is sky high, mainly consumer debt.

I still believe in credit cards, but only in a LAST RESORT situation. If you have just a bad month like I had in March (dog passed away on top of me losing my job and before all that we bought a used car for the teen driver) - credit could come in as a life-saver here. I have mine at $550 limit but thats OK because I dont need to go spending over $500 on anything, except medical and/or vehicle repairs to keep going to work. Consumerism I believe is fading and people are trying to get out of debt now. But the thing is, will they stay out of debt once they're "debt free"? The usage of a credit card can be like a 'drug' to some. That need to use it prior to your main debit account. Any how - great video and had no idea BOA essentially created "VISA"

Ok this went from a history lesson to the lifestyle of credit cards. This failed to say when cards became digital for the first time.
