thanks for the video! i am considering buying the audio2 in order to precue what i am doing before i push it to the master. the only question i have is how to have the audio channels as stereo? in the audio settings, the soundcard is receiving L and R separately in audio1 out and audio2 out but when you route them, you routed group1 to audio1 (which is L only) and group2 to audio2 (which is R only). hope i managed to explain properly. your video is much clearer than what i wrote here :))

Thanks for doing these tutorials, because a lot of this information isn't in the manuals. I have a question though, with MK2 there are an LEN and a step function, so my question is how are they used in conjunction with each other, or how are they used period? thanks

Do most sound cards have several output's? How would you go about checking how many output's your sound card has? Does it make a difference in the overall quality of your song?

Any ideas on how I can route audio from my mixer (using kontrol vinyl or vinyl) into maschine so that I can record myself scratching over the top of my beat and use it as a "sample" in maschine?

I have the Traktor Z2 mixer, but was told by NI support it's not capable of doing this. So I'm trying to hook up the audio 8 to my Z2 and route it that way. Total mind f*&$. I can't figure it out at all. If you could help I'd really appreciate it.

So any updates on maschine 2.0 routing? I have a Komplete audio 6, and tried routing to 3 & 4 but was no sound . Even in this video you did not mention how Maschine out 1 is stereo.

I don't have access to an MK2, so I don't know what the new "LEN" button does. My guess is that they simply took a feature that was already in the software but hard to get to and gave it its own button.

If you're using the soundcard on your laptop or desktop, chances are it will NOT have more than 1 stereo output. You can see the number of outputs by going into the audio settings. If you only see Output 1 and Output 2, that means you only have 1 stereo output on your soundcard. The soundcard you have will not affect the quality of the song itself, only the quality of the sound you hear in your speakers/headphones.

With a track on vinyl, I don't see why you couldn't plug your turntable into the Audio 8 and record directly into Maschine. If you're using Kontrol vinyl, that gets tricky.
