I left my house in Napa to San Franciscos mission neighborhood to see this show. I loved CRB, but this show was magical and a distinction as a move away as that chapter of bay area music was making its glacial move to the end. The location, the liquid light show, going out front and blazing a couple bombers, it could have been my father's experience in that time that love captured so many summers ago. I watched Neal as the front man for the first time and couldn't believe what I was seeing.Dan Horne the tall bassist reminded me of a tall Niel young, the drummer Mark Levey was wicked, smiling from ear to ear scoping his band mates for the changes moving like a child in glee, Adam mcdougal...amazing what can you say, I started going to Cris robinson brotherhood shows because of him, the wizard in the fog working the wands of the keyboard .then there was Neal, I was blown away the way he could work that guitar ( scott walker custom guitar from Santa Cruz) I never seen anything quit like it. The whole band was in a state of jam bliss. I'm glad I got a poster before the show. Everything seemed to click, for me this was a moment in time, a spark in the San Francisco music scene, that if given the right tinder, could ignight and be very recognizable and unstoppable. a talent. Thanks for one of the best shows I have over been to.
