This feels to me like going for a drive down the street where you used to live or through your old neighbourhood. There’s memories, but there’s also things that have changed. There’s a feeling of being home but also a feeling that you are an interloper in this familiar place, like you are the reflection in the mirror, just now becoming self aware.

I feel like his music goes perfectly along with his videos, in that they at first seem weird, maybe some things feel off key at first, there's odd noise in the background, maybe the drums sound weirdly distorted in some songs, but every weird part of it adds up to, as a whole, become a beautiful piece of art that relishes in it's odd nature.

(i originally put that well known quote from tumblr here, but i've seen him say that that actually isn't his intention with his music, but I still think his music has a nice oddness to it, maybe not in the same vain as his animations though)
