There will be no "double payment" in June. July's payment will arrive on June 30 because July 1 falls on a weekend. It has always been that way because banks are not open to cash SSI checks on the weekend. The same is true for SS and SSDI that comes on the 3rd of the month. If the 3rd falls on Saturday or Sunday, the payment arrives on the previous Friday so the person can put theirs in the bank.

I'm barely surviving now on my social security between rent and utilities and food, from the time I receive my check and pay all my bills, I have no money left to get me through the rest of the month. I don't understand how they can even consider cutting social security.

Talking about cuts to Medicare, They need to get the pharmaceutical companies under control and stop having us pay for subsidizing medicine for other countries for the exact same medicine that is causing us to pay 4 - 5 times more for our medicine. Think of how many $billions that would save Medicare or let other countries' pharmacies open and distribute in the USA. I take 6 medicines, without insurance 1 med would cost me $180 per month, do not know what the others would be. Had 2 stints put in, which cost $96, 000. Those prices are ridiculous. Do not need higher-cost insurance, ( like Obamacare ) that more than doubled my premiums and tripled my deductible as soon as it came out. Need lower-cost services.

My wife and I received our SS checks early, too. We have direct deposit.
