The recommended swap size for Linux systems is no longer double the RAM size. The old rule is not applicable to modern computers with larger RAM capacities and smaller hard disks. Allocating a swap size that matches the RAM size, such as 64GB for a system with 32GB of RAM, would be wasteful.
In this video, we are going to answer some questions related to Swap memory.

What is swap? When is a swap used?
Why is swap needed?
Do you need swap if you have lots of RAM?
Can you use Linux without swap?
How much should be the swap size?
How much swap size do you use?
