iPhone 15 Plus vs 15 Pro Max: DON'T Make a Mistake!

Which one should you buy: тhe $900 iPhone 15 Plus or the $1,200 iPhone 15 Pro Max? Going with the Plus. Photography is a hobbie, but 1200 is a lot of cash. If I want really good zoom, I'll use my Canon and one of my several high quality lenses. 🤷

Sucks how they kept the refresh rate the same as the iPhone 10. Couldn’t they have raised up to 90hz?

I got the pro max and used it for a week before returning it. I wasn’t impressed with telephoto and I just don’t see 120hz difference. I got a 15 plus instead and I love it. Camera is equally good, screen equally bright. It’s basically a 14 pro.

I don’t believe apple on the battery. The plus crushed the pro max so far in battery. Not even close. Very happy.

Going for the plus. I don’t take pictures and if needed to I’ll get an actual camera. Getting really fedup of reviewers automatically slate the “lower” end device and go for the pro. Not everyone can afford those models and these guys need to wake up and get back into reality, it’s a phone.

Always drawn to the Pro Max but this year for what I actually get out of my phone I think the Plus will do me fine and besides slap a case on it and activate dark mode and they look the same to me. :)

The only games I enjoy on a phone is Mario Kart and Monopoly. I find 120hz faster yes, no doubt. But I find 60hz to be smoother when I’m scrolling. It’s a nice pace rather than a fast pace.

the titanium makes the 15 pro max back glass break easily due to the higher tension and the plus has 2 more hours of battery life

The only two down faults with the regular 15 models. Is the lack of not having always on display and they’re still stuck on 60 HRZ which is both a joke and ridiculous. Those aren’t pro features but regular features that all phones should have by standards.

I’m torn between this years models. Not a fan of the regular 15 colors this year. But contrary to the impression that Apple’s charts show, the Mrwhosetheboss channel just did a battery comparison where the 15+ came in as the longest battery life on any iphone ever, lasting over 13 hours while the Pro Max lasted just over 11. Sadly the base pro model which I had my eye on, only lasted 9 and came in 5th place losing out to even older phones. I was not expecting that. So now I don’t know what to do. I want the blue pro color and faster USB speed, but damn I want that over 13 hour battery life of the 15+ too. But not a fan of the bigger size or color of that. Hate this dilemma. 🙁

I’ve had the IPhone 2, 4, 6 and 8 plus. Haven’t had a new phone in years, so I’m going for the IPhone 15 Pro Max and will have this phone for awhile.

In real world battery tests the pro max battery is a few hours less than the plus - a huge difference! - when I found this out I cancelled my pro order and ordered a plus.

EDIT: Some good points in the replies, you get smaller screen bezels on the pro (but it's far less durable if dropped) and you get 120hz. For me battery and durability were more important but the Pro does have advantages.

I just went to the store today to see them and decide which color, now I’m back at square one. Plus, pro or pro max? I thought I’ll get the pro and save some money, but seeing them next to each other the pro looks so small…. I now have a XS max

1200 is for a 256gb to be precise 900 plus is giving 128gn so it actually 1000 for a 256 plus then i think paying extra 200 for those changes is worth it although it is still alot

We have a price difference of $410 between these two models (Plus Pro Max) in France. I won't be getting 256GB, and I won't have 120Hz. However, 120Hz is not worth $410 for me. I don't use the camera
