Barrett-Jackson Ride ‘N Drive Events

This video showcases the thrilling experiences offered at a Ride ‘N Drive Event during the 2020 Barrett-Jackson collector car auction. Toyota, Ford, Chevrolet and Dodge each offered experiences in their cars, with Chevy and Ford sharing an improvised race track and Toyota and Dodge sharing another adjoining it. All of the experiences were absolutely free and open to anyone in attendance of qualifying age, so participants simply needed to sign a waiver and wait their turn. All of the experiences were a ride-a-long with a professional driver, although if you opted for Ford’s experience you could pick any of the “regular” new Ford vehicles to drive around the track once yourself. This was a good marketing ploy to get people to test drive their cars. I chose a Ford Expedition Platinum.

Dodge and Toyota featured a drifting experience in a Hellcat Dodge Challenger, Hellcat Charger or Toyota GR Supra. Ford and Chevy had a short race track experience where they showed off their car’s acceleration and handling. Chevy offered their ZL1 Camaro and Ford offered their Shelby GT500 Mustang. Off limits to the ‘regular crowd’ was an experience in the Ford GT supercar. Not sure who was able to do this, but it was definitely not part of the free and ‘open to all’ experience like the others. Hopefully Barrett-Jackson will continue to host these interactive car events in the future.
