openFrameworks creative coding: Interfacing with Arduino

In this video I look at how to use the ofSerial object to talk to the serial port on your computer and interface with the outside world

• serial input and output with oF and arduino microcontroller
• send values to serial port
• retrieve values from serial port

I just realized that the messages arrive in ASCII to openFrameworks. Are using ofTrueTypeFont to overcome this?
