Join me in this journey of creating a smocked heirloom dress for my daughter's birthday while I'm 39 weeks pregnant! This is a tradition I look forward to every year and of course, I added smocked details -- a craft I've loved exploring.

Sweetheart so beautiful. I love that you have put your own individual twist on the dress. Yes you are so right. Our children may not appreciate our creativeness however they surely appreciate our love that we pour into them. If you are looking for craft that allow you to pick up do a bit and then put away quickly the world is your oyster with craft. Crochet, knitting, embroidery, applique, patchwork, amiguruni, felting and the list goes on and on. The first 4 are easily mobile crafts.
And yes you are blessed, and it is good to thank our Lord for all of his blesssings in our life.

I loved sewing for my girls when they were little and sewing much of my own clothing. While my daughters were not interested in learning to sew, both of my granddaughters are becoming excellent seamstresses! That really warms my heart ❤️!

Looks adorable and when your daughter gets older she will tell her own children about your sewing her dresses. Beautiful memories. I have never seen the elastic/rouching done on a machine. Well don. New sub. Thank you
