If I go somewhere less expensive and then have to go back to my fav stylist to *fix* something, I expect to pay her to FIX the problem. You don't expect to have a car mechanic charge you less to fix your car that was messed up by someone else! That's stupid! I've learned to either wait and save up for her to be available to do my hair or go without. One or 'tother.

for me changing to a cheaper salon was more bc my old stylist ghosted me and my friend who works close to where i love offered to cut my hair basically for free in comparison (was paying 50 for a trim before, now i pay 15, sometimes literally nothing when i bring her food)

Literally it your problem. I could not do what you do💞 Being in a more mass-consumer business is easier for me. My customers come and go within 15 minutes ~ even if they’re daily. It’s just the right amount of time spent with a customer. I’ve always loved the idea of doing hair bc it’s hair cmon so fun but I just could not.

My hair stylist is also a friend of 15 years. I’ve always been happy with my cut/ color. This past visit my hair cut is crooked! Two people have asked me if I tried to cut my own hair! Idk what to do? I’m so non-confrontational, I feel uncomfortable asking her to fix it.

Expecting you to fix the screw cheaper than your normal price is stupid and childish. Someone going somewhere cheaper isn’t always a choice. Sometimes people have limited funds but still need a haircut.
