What makes the quitting look even worse is Charvarious Ward, a man who lost his daughter a few weeks ago, is playing and Campbell decided not to. No way that flies in that specific locker room much less any locker room.

He quit on GB that's why GB cut him.

He acted like he was playing pee wee football instead of professional football. You get paid to play football the way the coaches and organization decide, and your team had to win so this guy probably just played his last game as a professional. Maybe the game before this one was his last as a professional!

Breaking news: the browns and cowboys are in a battle to sign this guy

People forget when he was on GB he played through an injury and a coach told his effort was poor. He responded by saying if that is the case I will play when I feel like it. He has been that kind of player ever since

This is what happens when you allow pride and emotion to dictate how you move. Now you showed the whole world that your lack of character exposed you as a quitter. I don’t even think he understands how many dudes out there that would give next to anything just to have a chance to get on the field and play a snap of NFL football, and he chose to turn his opportunity down.

I actually think you’ll see a lot more of this. Dudes will be like “I already got $20 million in my account, to hell with it.”

You didn't quit on your coach. You quit on your team. This is equal to that scene from Saving Private Ryan where the Germans are advancing, the Americans are outnumbered, and the one that could help is acting like a coward and choosing to do nothing.

Team plane...Oh HELL NO he would have had to have gotten his own plane ride home.

When you have played for nine years and received millions of dollars, there is no incentive to be great. You have the money to quit.

Him quiting is the best thing for our def and I'm sure it will rally and unite the team

He's done in the NFL with this stunt. With a 9-year career he's probably set money-wise (if he managed it well) but his football reputation is shot. Everything he ever did as a football player from HS through college, and with the pros is now tarnished by this. He'll always be remembered as the guy who quit on his team in the middle of a game. If he'd only played one more quarter of football he probably could have gone to the 49'ers after the game and said he's done and it would have been a minor story...if it was even a story at all. They probably would have quietly released him, as happens to players all the tim, e and his football reputation would be intact. But doing it in the middle of game just put a big old asterisk next to his name for life.

While not as flamboyant as when Antonio Brown did it, it probably will have a similar effect.

Jerry Jones quit on the Cowboys 30 years ago and is only in it for money, so I understand 😂

In my opinion, 22 counts of SA, drunk driving leading to innocent people's death, and choking your teammates on the sideline during a game are worse. I think this is the fourth worst thing you could do.

I quit watching the nfl long before he quit. Stopped watching the nba. Only in baseball do you have to step up to the plate. Even then, running to first base is an issue. Sports is now a metaphor for laziness and selfishness. They forgot the line from gladiator, are you entertained? Many people simply are not.
