'Debates are not arguments': Robredo spox weighs in on Marcos shunning debates | ANC

Headstart: Vice President Leni Robredo's spokesperson Atty. Barry Gutierrez believes it is "completely disingenuous" to portray non-attendance in debates as a principled stand, saying debates are not arguments but rather an opportunity for candidates to show their real character and platform to the people. He adds somebody who avoids pressure, conflict or challenges is someone you can't rely to become president.
