Hi everyone, at the start of the video I find a movie rental shop in Peacehaven, then I head to the city to see what latest titles hit the HMV shelves, plus I show a great movie from Imprint Films, what more could you ask for? I hope you enjoy the video.

Hey Alan, great vid. Nice to see a rental shop still going, used to love Blockbusters. Only part I hated was racing to drop the film off before you got a fee 😂
I picked up empire of light on digital recently, love Olivia Colman, been watching her for years in so many different films and tv shows. So happy she's kicked off so well in Hollywood the past few years. She's a very talented actress.
I really enjoyed What Happened to Monday, watched it on Netflix one night when I randomly chose a movie from my list and had to pick up the Blu-ray for it.

Great grabs, Alan. Ride Lonesone seems interesting. I love westerns, I'm gonna have yo look into that. What happened to Monday sounds very interesting as well. I've never even heard of it, I will probably have to look into a bootleg, unfortunately. Since only Germany released it. Have a great one. Take care.

Hey Alan! So cool to see a video rental store up and running!! The good old days!! Empire of Light sounds awesome. Will definitely be checking that one out. Was surprised to see Red Eye didn’t have a standard blu ray release without the 4K. Have you heard anything on that? £19.99 is a little steep for me on that one!

Another great video. It's amazing that that video shop still exists. There used to be a small one around the corner from where I live. It's changed hands so many times since then, lots of different shops. Nice pickups for your incredible collection mate.

Hi Sir Alan,
That is a rare sight especially these days of a movie rental store 😎😮, plenty of movie classics getting released, "Rocky 4" arrived at my place yesterday the 4K upgrade including the new cut of the movie, i do have "Ride Lonesome" in the Randolph Scott western movie set that Indicator released in a five movie set which is out of print i think now, Scott featured in some very good westerns.
"Pony express" a Charlton Heston i"ve never seen 😮, nice of Imprint to keep sending you titles, that"s awesome, great work as always on the channel.
Hope all is well Alan, take care speak soon !

Very cool seeing that video rental store. I remember seeing another video of a modern video rental store and it is very interesting.

What a find Alan on that rental shop, Blimey that brought back some wonderful memories. What a great idea and let’s hope they continue 😀. Glad you got a hot Coffee finally, definitely with you on that one, must be HOT!. I’m tempted by Robin Hood and I was at the auditions for Empire Of Light at the actual filming location in Margate. Obviously didn’t Audition my self 😂🤣. Speak very soon.😀👍

Hi Alan - Long time watcher, first time commenter.

I coincidentally listened to the 'Rewatchables' podcast this week on Rocky IV. Someone took the time to count up how much of the film was simply montages - 35% apparently!

Although I don't think it's the best one (Rocky III takes that for me), Jame's Brown performing Living in America as Apollo Creed enters the ring is one of my all time favourite music moments in film!

Nice to see a video rental place still knocking about. So many fond memories of obsessing over the vhs covers in the horror section at my local video shops. Think I used to base my choices purely on the cover 😂 just Empire of light and The man who fell to Earth for me this week. Nice one mate 👍

Nice batch of pickups. I've seen a couple of Randolph Scott westerns and really enjoyed them. In the states there's a 12 movie set of his on Mill Creek that was $25US.

A two coffee day? You should get that sponsorship so you can spend more on films! Do you go for decaf or regular caffinated?

Wow Alan, I honestly can't remember when I last saw a video rental shop? I used to love visiting Blockbusters. Such a shame. Let's pray physical media never goes away. 🙏

I know you were born on the exact same day as Cuba Gooding Jr. I've found out that Michael Caine and Quincy Jones were born on the exact same day, 14th of March 1933 and they both turned 90 recently. Coincidentally they were both in the 3rd Austin Powers movie.

McDonald’s not a sponsor, but it should be 👍🏻

I think it’s a little weird that we’re not getting the 4K release (steelbook and standard) of strange new worlds until around May (I think).

Anyway, Alan, I hope you and yours are well?

Big cuddles from me.
