Hello i work In the meat industry, we use a method called "gas packing, " which is similar to the packaging used by Lunchly. This involves sealing the product with an airtight plastic film to preserve freshness. The key to this process is pumping the package with a specific mix of gases, typically carbon dioxide (CO2) and oxygen (O2). This combination helps extend the product's shelf life, ensuring it remains fresh for consumers while on display. Proper sealing and the correct gas mix are essential to maintaining the quality of the product.

The cheese is going moldy due to an improper gas mixture, which could stem from issues with the sealing process. This might be caused by faulty equipment not sealing the packaging correctly, or the film not being properly airtight, allowing external gases to enter. Both scenarios can disrupt the protective gas environment inside the package, leading to premature spoilage.

In the meat industry, if this happens, we must immediately stop production and alert Quality Control (QC) to prevent the faulty product from being distributed. If the issue is noticed too late and the product has already been sent out, we are required to inform the organizations that purchased it. They must return the product and are prohibited from selling it, as it is unfit for human consumption.

As much as it is horribly dangerous, it proves that this is karma in itself. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes, happy this was discontinued. Not to mention the fact that they’re the ones who created it, yet laughed about it, when if could be life threatening, leading to death? It shows that they have no damn remorse over people.

I Work at a grocery store (Giant) and last week I saw a ton of lunchlys. Came back today 6 AM. Absolutely no shred of lunchlys only lunchables. Perfectly balanced as all things should be.
