This seems like a really great product and its nice to see new stuff for film workflows, but im unsure that affordable is the term I would attach to this. Its possible to piece together an entire DSLR scanning kit via thrifting for a fraction of the asking price for this, or straight up just buy a flatbed scanner. Hopefully this sparks some competition in the industry though, and the term 'affordable' becomes more accurate in the future.

Less than half this price for Nikon PB bellows and slide/negative holder. Hundreds to choose from on EBay. Also, as the camera sensor and the slide/negative are mounted on the same rig they are perfectly parallel. Using the setup advertised here involve a separate tripod and the sensuing difficulties in achieving correct planes of focus across the subject.

But it doesn’t scan your film, does it? Does it just advance it so you can scan it with your smartphone or something? I didn’t see any computerized parts that could scan / upload the film to a computer…maybe I’m stupid?
