Gen. 9:13 "bow"
The rainbow signifies God's faithfulness in keeping His covenant, God Himself is faithfulness (1 Cor. 1:9; 1John 1:9). He is is faithful to His word, and His word is His covenant. The rainbow is seen again at the end of the Bible (Rev. 4:3), indicating that God's faithfulness will remain forever.
The rainbow is a sign of God's covenant with man and all living creatures that He will not destroy them again with a flood.
