So insane. I used to live in the Outer Sunset a few houses away from the Doc. I remember hearing about him surfing Potato Patch. So insane. Thank you!

This is so much sketchier than it looks on film. I paddled out to Pt. Bonita (basically the inside reef of Potato Patch) a couple of times on big swells, because I'd seen it breaking from the bridge. But it was also very bumpy, lumpy and, well...sketchy. I think I only got one halfway decent wave there ever, and even that one wasn't that good. Exciting paddle out though!
