I rewatched this 2 years later, and then I just realised the true meaning of the story, which makes me love it even more for some reason.

This song hits me so hard. Just the fact that eventually he'll be called to battle is one of the most painful things to think about let alone see like in this video. SCP 999 doesn't understand the full extent of what he's to face, yet despite seeing the entire multiverse crash around him, he's just excited to put a smile on the one who truly needs it the most; his own father who never had a care for him or anyone else to begin with.

Even in fiction, he acts so real as his powers effect even us in a non-fictional way. Maybe this is why our world has no more monsters or mysterious entities left; he let himself be given up so we could live without the SCP's.

You didn't have to do that, 999, but the fact that you did makes you the true 8th wonder of our world.
