2200$ Sony VS 250$ Nikon DYNAMIC range test !

I have said it over and over again that Nikon have amazing sensors when it comes to Dynamic range ! Thanks to Sony's craftsmanship when it comes to sensor making :) (Nikon designs their sensors and Sony makes them)

So I thought that it would be fitting to have a face off between the Sony A7iii vs Nikon D5300 (Cause I happened to own both)

And having shot with the D5300 I knew that it had a great sensor ! The D5300 or D5200 can be found for very little (As low as 170$ for the D5200) So can the Nikon 13.9 stops of dynamic range stand up to the A7iii and its 14.6 stops of dynamic range ?

I would say YES !! And very well in did ! It's the best camera to start with if you want to do landscape ;)

I also threw in the Lumix G7 that I bought for a project :)

Used Nikon D5200 (It's the same sensor as the d5300)

Dynamic range should be the gold standard in comparing camera performance. Amazing information. My D3300 has a dynamic range of 12.98 while my g85 has 12.5. I am sure d3300 would come close to d5300. Thanks

It's not a valid test because the clouds moving change exposure dramtically.
