Oracle Apex 23.1 Installation?

In this video, we’ll be walking you through the process of installing Oracle Apex version 23.1 , with ORDS version 23.1.4, on one Oracle pluggable Database version 21c.

So is it possible to use existing oracle database with Apex installation? In my project I have a oracle 19c db installed on linux host...we are creating packages, procedures tables etc in that db, and i need to use that database in Apex application building? Is this possible? Can't we establish database connection like how we connect to diff db in sql developer?
