Hi Ma'am,
Last Academic year 2023-24 my daughter took admission in pre nursery at that time her age was 2years 6months and school had no objection. Now they are saying that due to new education policy she has to repeat the class as her age will be 5.6years and the criteria to get in to 1st is 6years.
In class of 25 kids only 4 children are been asked to do so, 21 are been promoted to LKG and 4 are sent to nursery. This is very disheartening.

She is saying only about Karnataka... And not any other states.. 2023-24 maharastra min age is 6yrs but as on Dec 31 for that particular year. Means it's 3.5 years as on June 1st.

My child who had passed class 8 from CBSE board now has a age of 12 years 4 month according to 01-04-2024. Please tell me he is eligible for class 9 registration or not?

My son is born 2nd July 2017
He will be in SR KG in year 2023-24
as here in Mumbai schools are asking to take his admission in 1st STD
I want him to clear SR KG as if we directly jump from Jr kg to 1st STD then it will be difficult for him to cope with syllabus
Please do reply what I should do??
As I want him to go step by step at the same time what I should do as schools r rejecting him saying he should be in STD 2 in year 2024-25

Mam. My child is 5yrs 6month...reading in cbbse board in Delhi public school.. Will she be allowed to admit in class 1in 2024-2025 scession? as the school authorities give no objection. But in 10standard will she have to retain in one class? Please help

Hi mam i have admitted my child in cbse Lkg for academic year 2024 to 2025 his dob is 06.08.2020...while coming to 1st standard his age will be 5years 8month...because of this 4 months gap again he have to study again in ukg??

Hi does my child need to mandatorily complete 3 years of education before sitting in class 1. He will turn 3 years old in January 2024 & I have found a school which has Play School, Nursery & KG as the pre-primary. There is no compulsion by the school to attend Play School for being admitted to Nursery. I don't want him to waste time at play school and then get to Nursery. Can we opt for his admission in Nursery in 2025 when he turns 4, so that he attains the age of 6 by 2027 & gets to class 1.

Few Schools say it's mandatory for a child to have 3 years of formal schooling before entering class 1 and few say it's not needed. Please clarify.

Mam I am residing in NCR, my son is 5 & half yrs old ...we r changing his school now. So according to New NCP there r some schools which r ready to give admission in class 1 whereas there schools which clearly denied and said he shud repeat KG...what do u suggest, we r confused ...also is there any fixed age for class 10 also?

Hi Vidhya I am sreekanth from marathahalli bangalore, my son is 5/8/2021 born what’s your advice for joing him jor June admission. In Gurukul Vidhya mandir they are ready to take admission for Nursery with parents declaration and they are saying that there may be changes in age criteria before he admits to grade 1. Please advise me regarding this.

where i can find the new circular, can you please share the new circular or at least share the link from where we can download the circular. Since this circular is shared by central government it has to be written and uploaded somewhere in government portal as well. Also can you please confirm whether this circular is applicable al over the India or only in Karnataka?

Dear Vidya, can you please inform me where from you gathered the information. Do you have any circular of Ministry of Education stating the exact age criteria and the age calculation date is fixed to 1st June!! As schools in our district are not allowing children of 4 days less to reach 3 years in nursery. School has asked me to provide a circular, can you please help me with the same!!
