What is ICAR AIEEA?
The ICAR All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) 2021 notification has been released by NTA on July 25. The application process has commenced on July 25 and the last date of application is August 20. The application correction window is scheduled from August 23 to August 26. The ICAR AIEE 2021 UG exam will be conducted on September 7, September 8 and September 13 and the ICAR AIEEA PG and AICE JRF/SRF are scheduled to be conducted on September 17. ICAR AIEEA is conducted to shortlist aspirants for admission in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in agriculture and allied sciences. The exam is conducted to fill 15 per cent of seats in Bachelor’s degree programmes. Apart from that, based on AIEEA UG aspirants are awarded “National Talent Scholarships in agriculture & allied science subjects (other than veterinary science) in agricultural universities and 15 per cent seats in dairy technology at NDRI Karnal”, informs the official website. National Testing Agency (NTA) is the conducting body of the exam which will be held in 178 cities (ICAR AIEEA UG) and 89 cities (ICAR AIEEA PG and AICE JRF/SRF) across India.
Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 16 years to be eligible.
Nationality: The nationality of the applying candidate should be Indian only.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed 10+2 education from CBSE or any other recognised board in English medium with at least any three Science subjects out of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Colleges accepting ICAR AIEEA 2021 scores
Candidates who clear the ICAR AIEEA exam for UG course admissions can secure admission in 11 bachelor’s degree programmes (BSc, BTech, etc). Courses on offer at colleges accepting ICAR AIEEA scores for admission include Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Fisheries, Home Science, Sericulture, Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Technology, Food Science/ Food Technology, Biotechnology, etc.
The ICAR-AU System of India has 74 Agricultural Universities comprising 63 State Agricultural, Veterinary, Horticultural and Fisheries Universities (SAUs), four ICAR-DUs, - IARI, IVRI, NDRI and CIFE, three Central Agricultural Universities (CAU, Imphal, Dr RPCAU, Pusa and RLB CAU, Jhansi), four Central Universities (CUs) having Faculty of Agriculture (BHU, AMU, Viswa Bharati and Nagaland University).
ICAR 2021 Admission Process
Candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps to successfully appear for ICAR AIEEA 2021 which is yet to be announced.
Step 1: Fill ICAR AIEEA Application Form
Candidates can submit the AIEEA application form for both UG and PG admissions in the online mode only. In the ICAR AIEEA application form, candidates need to fill all their details in the online form, upload their recent coloured photograph with name and date, thumb impression (left/ her right hand), and signature. Aspirants can pay the application fee using a credit card/debit card, UPI or Paytm. The official website of ICAR informs that while paying the application fee “additional Payment Gateway charges plus service tax, as applicable will be chargeable”.
Step 2: Download AIEEA Admit Card
Aspirants need to download their ICAR AIEEA 2021 admit card from the official website of the exam. AIEEA admit card for UG and PG course admissions contain the details of the candidate and his roll number along with information on his exam time, date and centre. Candidates need to take a printout of their AIEEA admit card and get it duly attested by the Principal of their School/College last attended or of a Gazetted Officer and carry the same to their ICAR test centre. Without the admit card aspirants would not be allowed to take the entrance exam.
Step 3: Give AIEEA UG/AIEEA PG Exam
AIEEA entrance exam is of 150 minutes or 2.5 hours duration. Aspirants need to appear for the exam as per the date, time and test centre details mentioned on their admit card.
Step 4: Check ICAR AIEEA Result
Candidates can view their AIEEA result on the official website of ICAR. “The result of the entrance examination would be available in terms of overall merit-rank and category rank obtained by the candidates qualified for counselling”, informs the official website.
Step 5: Appear for Counselling
Once the result is released, the category-wise final merit list for AIEEA counselling is prepared. This list contains details of the candidate along with the date when they need to appear for the counselling round for admission. At the time of counselling for admission in both UG as well as PG programmes, aspirants need to fill a prescribed Counselling form. Apart from this, candidates also need to bring a copy of their Counselling intimation letter along with the counselling fee and other necessary documents.
