Although everyone thinks that the return of Soviet Union needs many military expansion to be revived, it is not fully correct. Communism is an ideology which focuses more on economy rather than military might. If anything, the return of Soviet Union would only need one war. One war that could throw away all of the international company willingly without the need of extra government spending to do so. One war that would stopped the migrant workers from flowing in willingly by the decision made from external party to make sure that no migrant will flow in even without the needs for the government to intervene. One war to force Russia to be self-dependent. Because only then can the majority of workplace in Russia can be owned by the state.

This is one of the biggest step you could expect to turn Russia back to Soviet Union. To do this, Russia needed an enemy that has a lot of supporter. Preferably those supporters must be strong enough that it could force Russia to get isolated from most of the world. This war must be going on for not too short but not too long either. In other word, Russia will need to suffer first before such a leap can be done.

This is however is quite tricky. But there is a slim chance to pull it off if it was coordinated and executed perfectly with all the necessary preparation.
