Why a Fire Emblem 4 Remake is STILL Coming!

The Nintendo Direct played us...again. The much-discussed Fire Emblem 4 remake was once again not announced, for what feels like the 100th time now. And yet, I am still convinced Genealogy of the Holy War will be remade in the future. Let me explain to you why!

I think people don't think something isn't in development until we see it. Games get developed sometimes for years with no announcement. Just because it wasn't at this direct, which was stocked full of 1st party announcements, doesn't mean it won't be at a future direct. Although, it would be on brand for Nintendo and intelligence systems to launch FE4 Remake for switch after the switch successor is released. I'm looking at you FE2, FE5, FE11, FE12, FE15

I wasn’t rolling to quite literally the last thing you said and that was the release of the switch 2. it would make a whole lotta sense as to why the game is taking so long if it’s operating on the new upcomingconsole.

Unless I missed it while having this play in the background, 2025 is also gonna mark the 35th anniversary of the series. In 2020 (30th Anniversary), we got an official localization of FE1, albeit it was a limited time release. I wouldn't be shocked if the remake was near completion, and they're just waiting for the anniversary to roll around to announce it.

It’s worth noting that New Mystery was called "iron12" and Awakening was "iron14" and we still don’t have an iron13, so for all we know the missing iron18 won’t mean anything

You are mixing up the timeline of the leaks. The person who claimed there was an fe4 nor came after the initial engage leaks, not before. They provided a few new screenshots, but merely repeated information that had already been leaked the day prior.

This is all speculation on my part. I want to Asaello in HD as much as the next person, so with that said.

About the leaks. One youtuber (can't remember who rn) brought up the possibilty of the fe4 remake leak being the leaker not being that familiar with fe, and seeing Sigurd's paralogue in Engage going "hey isn't that Sigurd from fe4? Must be a remake" might be the "confirmation" of an fe4 remake the engage leaker was talking about. It's not perfect but it fits pretty well.

The missing iron17 could just be a scrapped game like those images of "Roy" from a scrapped game too.

The bigger role Sigurd plays in Engage could hardly be called big. While he's certainly more important than others, it's mostly just to talk about Lumera and not enough screentime to really show him off. iirc He becomes like the other emblems after Lumera's death. Aside from the among us line.

Heroes came out in 2018 or something. The lack of Jugdral characters is not a new thing un preparation for the remake. Compared to other titles Jugdral has always been under represented in Heroes. This is nothing new

I dont understand why people are all "not in June direct. Can't be coming because the switch 2." And like, the switch 2 hasnt even been announced officially. We have been promised an official announcement by march, which means it might not even release before next fall, which gives an entire year to release a game that will likely be heavy on initial sales and take 1 month to play, tops.
