Microsoft Bing Chat vs. Google Assistant

Which is better for search: Microsoft’s Bing Chat powered by Chat GPT or the Google Assistant? We spent the week asking the Google Assistant and Big Chat in Microsoft's new Edge Browser the same random queries. What we found should certainly cause alarm in Mountain View.

Google in March 2023, has no answer for the Bing Compose feature powered by Chat GPT’s 4.0 language learning model, and Chat GPT itself in less than 6 months has amassed huge brand awareness. People know what it is and are finding new uses for it every day. Will Microsoft overtake Google? Or will Google be able to successfully defend the turf it relies on to power the majority of it’s business?

New MS Bing on smartphone is amazing: Generative AI everywhere, quoting websites, oral questions, copy/paste for sharing in Teams conversations, etc.
No competition so far: G Bard? A Siri?…

Right now Bing response is slow, 50 requests per day, 6 requests per conversation, 3 modes of responses and app battery intensive.

Biggest issue I've had with Bing Chat is just how slow it is compared to pure ChatGPT. I get that it has to scrape the web for every query, and of course serve you ads, but it's just too slow for daily use right now. Fun to play with, though.

You don’t think googles like Bing chat Google does it have to be a Google chat Google maps versus Bing maps are different than Microsoft Maps app. Microsoft Windows has a Microsoft maps.

Whatif bing chat or chatgpt works for Google assistant it would will change many things you can do very much things without moving or searching through website. You just have to just ask and you know that with precise info. I feel its very much interesting

Google I/O this year will definitely make or break google this year that's for sure. Personally, I think they'll be fine since one of the google engineers called lamda sentient. Also, Apple has been weirdly quiet when it comes to these large language models.
