Disturbance near Bahamas and Florida. Tropics getting active with a new tropical wave from Africa.

A low-pressure system is located just northeast of the Bahamas. Although global models do not show cyclonic development, the National Hurricane Center has marked the area as an area with low probabilities of development. The disturbance could bring heavy showers to the Bahamas, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.

A new tropical wave has just emerged from Africa and has a low probability of cyclonic development as it moves across the tropical Atlantic. Although it is very preliminary to discuss trajectories, weather models suggest it could take a path far from the Caribbean.
