I was in The Philippines 🇵🇭 in December 2022. Coincidentally, I asked government officials about this. This news 📰 still is true in 2023. 😃

Supreme court is just reaffirmimg citizenship by blood. My mom is Filipino and my dad is American. When i turned 40 i decided to get my Philipine passport and all i needed to do in submit Report of Birth then applied for passport. Was so fast and easy.

What this ruling also means is a natural born dual citizen can run for office in the Philippines without need to relinquish their foreign citizenship.

My daughter got Philippine citizenship by birth, foreign citizenship by descent and then another by naturalisation. Then she had to do a re-acquisition process to get Philippine citizenship back. Maybe the last step was unnecessary?

Hello..my mother is Philippines born. MY father is Lithuainia in United States soldiers..I was born I usa, yet because my mother was in usa citizen at the time...I can't be dual citizenship....that's what was told to me...I really will try hard to be dual citizenship
