Boeing machinists union endorses latest contract offer | FOX 13 Seattle

Striking Boeing machinists are set to vote on a new contract offer on Monday, Nov. 4, after the union endorsed the company's latest proposal.

All they did was increase the offer by 3% (it’s was 35%) the $12G is just the $7G signing Bonus + the $5G 401k combine. Now they are offering you the option of taking the whole $12G as either a bonus, or add it to your 401k, or split between both…

Listen or ignore it... It's up to you. One of my family has a good relationship with one of the union negotiating team and relayed this information to me. Kelly Ortberg walked out of the negotiations and said he was done.
Julie Su (labor secretary) called him and
"ordered him to come back". She sat with him for 3 hours and finally he gave in to the additional 3%. Once they finished talking he came in to the room where the union was waiting and stated "We will not be offering any more. If the union membership rejects this offer, we will begin hiring scab labor immediately and will make every effort to move operations out of the Puget Sound area to any place we can set up." The negotiation team member stated that he did not think that he was joking in any way and meant what he way saying. This is the reason that the union has decided to recommend this contract offer.

Wow, they are really trolling with you guys. That’s a slap in the face, greed not to give you guys the additional 2% that you are asking for. They can do it, but they’re not, they want to be in power…..the Next contract they will raise it to 38.5%….oh but at the end of the year you BET THE NEW CEO will be getting a NICE BONUS for these savings. bs! the difference between the last contract proposal is only 3%. the union and the boeing fooling the workers. 2 days of negotiation and end up 3%? wtf! and they removed the $5, 000 to 401k, much worse than before, theyre playing numbers here thinking that workers are stupid enough not to catch it. read the contract for yourself!$5k+$7k is $12k from last proposal

Negotiation will never give everything one side want. The union negotiator already exuast and this is what reality is. Unrealistic- unnegotiable demand will destroy not only company but community, country and yourself.

Nearly 50 days and this is what it is - longer than this will unlikely gain.
