Marco Muzzo, drunk driver who killed 4, granted full parole

A Toronto-area drunk driver who killed three children and their grandfather in a crash that captured national attention was granted full parole Tuesday, as officials stressed the need for ongoing counselling regarding substance abuse and other issues.

The decision was made as Marco Muzzo, 34, appeared before the Parole Board of Canada in a remote hearing that also heard the victims’ grieving relatives describe the ongoing trauma from the 2015 crash.

Before the decision was delivered, Muzzo said that while he can’t change the past, he hopes to help prevent others from doing what he did.

“I’m not asking for forgiveness and nor do I ever expect it,” he told the board.

Just watched a video of a kid getting 25 years for killing a mother and a child in Florida. This guy wipes out an entire family and gets out in 4 years....pathetic. Wish he got Florida Justice!! Another person "Perera" got 50 years for killing two people while she was driving drunk. And now it's not just 4 people he killed, it's 5!!! The father committed suicide today. The father even attempted to reduce any financial settlement. For him it's about the money...clearly not about money for the father who took his own life today. RIP. Shame on the justice system.

How can you kill 4 people and be free? A car excuses you from calling you a murderer? It seems that if you want to kill somebody but dont want to go to jail you just can take your car and run it over. Yeah, you will be free shortly or pay peanuts for your bail.

Yup. He killed another of that poor family yesterday. I only recently learned that the mom miss carried shortly after the crash Marco caused .

The father committed suicide 7 years after the accident if people don't know. He was probably even more broken by this news.
