Steel security with wood look. 4 way bolts.

Steel doesn't make much of a difference if the frame is wood. If you're getting a steel door for security it's best paired with a steel frame. On top of that, it doesn't matter which door you choose for security if they can break a window and reach around to the latch.

My pick is fiberglass, I work in a door factory and I run wood steel and fiberglass doors all day, fiberglass is by far the most durable and best insulated

You need a solid Hickory door, encased with 20 gauge steel. You take all that and you spray it with about a quarter inch layer of Line-x

I've seen the sun melt the glue on fiberglass doors and warp them. My old wood door still looks awsome and strong after probably 50 years. Steel for commercial applications, wood for residential.

I always hated glass doors cuz one rock and I'm in. Seeing those big house that are majority glass are super easy robbery houses with a view of your house layout and almost all glass literally nothing matters but smash and grab. Door glass gives away your houses whole layout making it again easy to get in, even cameras don't matter cuz they would already know the layout for a quick in n out. Also yall wild for having no blinds or having them open at night. My fave thing is to look into houses with blinds open and see what's inside. Many living rooms with no blinds and bedrooms, you can see a lot while driving by lmao. Just to make y'all uneasy who do this. Also just cuz your a bit out the way but your house is lit up like a beacon in the fing night time doesn't mean change in the windows. (I like to go look at the nice houses while driving around but blinds open is a fun guessing game bonus)

What doors are definitely nice. You just gotta gap them a little more for swelling and then don't drill your deadbolt closer than 16" from the knob there's no strength when they're close together if you put your deadbolt in correctly with the right spacing you can have almost the same strength as a metal door.

Fiberglass 12 insulated requires very little maintenance looks great for years would you have to finish it and clean it up every 5 to 6 years

We built a home 33 years ago and the fiberglass doors look just as good as the day they were installed.

I'm thinking you probably making the right pick, if you choose the steel door and that you did

Fiberglass doors are strongest... most steel doors are a 20guage steel shell with foam in the middle. At least that's my experience from 2 years installing doors

Full glass with 165# Fula behind it. Easy to clean, lets in light, never needs painting.

And nobody is going to break in

Fiberglass for many reasons.
Steel dents
Wood expands and extracts

All the big manufacturers make a good door.
EXCEPT: Mastercraft

Way pick 1 when you can have all off them

Metal doors alone won't give you increased security.
