The whole idea of a "barndominium" is that you are getting a lot of square footage under roof with a free standing, inexpensive superstructure using a metal building system. This then allows for interior buildout to be "independent" of that structure.

This is just a big-ass stick framed house.

Calling this house a barndominium because it has a metal exterior is like calling a house a castle because it has stone exterior.

Barndos are made with i beam columns and trusses and c purlin structure with r panel sheeting Is basically a metal building with interior wood frame.. this is just another wooden house... Just saying.. still looks nice tho 👍

Most people are happy with them, and there's less upkeep in roofing and siding... Most people open the doors of the barn part in the summer and let the breeze blow through.
