Just kidding it's totally possible, the thing I saw was wrong. Just not sure if its possible in the latest version. Soapy has a video showing how to do it called "Is it possible to Escape Hyrule"

In both BOTW & TOTK there are some "dynamic" enemies that don't have specific locations and just spawn in around link. Stalk enemies are the most well known in BOTW if you escape the map and wait until night you'll get some turn up

"Is it possible to escape Hyrule" by Soapy proved it possible.

The flat windy fields gives me that “wanderer from a different land looks upon his next adventure” type vibe

It is left over pre-production assets from testing period. Same with environment shading and shadows. It is an out of the way spot to test animation and such while the rest of the game department focuses on the main map.
You find those spots in alot games when you break the bounds. It is like the backrooms of shops, extra stock before putting out on the main floor.

I can't tell you about the peblets, but I can tell you about the shadows! in game design, if you're trying to make a game run smoother, you can bake the lighting (make a shadow map by rendering the game with lighting and then overlay that on things so that the game isn't using all the system resources to make shadows). As you know, botw was made for the WiiU, which was not as strong as the switch. but on the switch, which actually had enough power, they didn't have too! They could actually Ray-Trace! The extra shadows might just be like sky islands or something.

I mean, if I'm building something like this, I need an area outside of the bounds to test things out. They probably forgot to eliminate the pebbles during clean up. Easy mistake to make when the enemy is hidden and has to be physically activated by the player.

There's also a way to reach a hidden Bokoblin just floating in the nothingness. I dont understand why-

Probably the pebblets are the devs way of saying “we know ur here, get out :D”

Ngl removing nearly all the funi glitches in totk killled away alot of the staying power for me atleast, especially with the bigger emphasis on sandbox it seems like an odd decision, i know some of the botw ones just wouldnt translate anyway but theres still so many new and old bugs but their all gone

Some enemys eg pebblits, stal enemys, keese have some preset spawn locations but others are just dynamic spawns

The peblets might be a reference to the triforce because they are placed in a triangle, but who knows

Peblets in the area of the final cutscene in the last game is strange

Pebblits probably have RNG spawning. I do run into them more frequently in Tears than Breath for some reason.
