Im not quite sure why they posted this video as if what they are saying makes much sense but in a nut shell if your in a state such as Florida for instance and tell your employer someone you have been in contact with has COVID and sends you home and asks you to follow CDC guidelines which leaves you out of work for 2 weeks and your wondering if you get paid. The answer is NO. Your employer does not have to pay you.

I was out of work from 12/18-1/02 I was exposed to covid unfortunately my girlfriend family got it and I was exposed to it. I did a self test at home because I was experiencing severe symptoms and was too weak to leave my house. My doctor put me out for 2 weeks. I provided a copy of my doctor's note on 12/28 when I got back on 01/04 my boss said the first note wasn't good enough because it wasn't detailed. So I called my provider to ask for a more detailed note and they stated that is going against hippa law. When I told them that I was t going to get paid until the my company seen a detailed note that's when they detailed and gave me a new note to give to my boss. The main HR of headquarters got involved and is now in contact with my healthcare provider because she needs a confirmation in order for me to get paid mind you I still haven't got paid. I work in the kid angeles area and been with my company for more that 2 years. I am a class A driver with them.. Is my company doing the right thing ?
