At least the thing about the Santos Press Release is relatively easy to explain as a simple technical error/oversight. They wrote that release the day before, everything in it was simply the stuff that was absolutely expected to happen, and then put it on the site with a timer for automatic release. And then when the McCarthy Clownshow started they just didn't think to stop the release timer. So this one thing wasn't a malicious lie or something, this was just a normal technical oversight and slight fuckup from whoever maintains the Website.

I wouldnt be a bit surprised that some Republicans might have to jump the isle to vote for Democrat candidate to stop the stalemate and get a speaker of the house in, to basically tell the 20 hold outs to more or less "f*** off" with their demands
