Lorrie Morgan takes us with her on the Keith Whitley Ride last year in 2016. With the 2017 ride today June 24th, we thought a re release of last year's ride along was appropriate. Enjoy.

This is why I love country music. The heart of american music and people I can relate to. The fake bs in Hollywood and the industry, i just can't. Not for me.

If Keith would have lived here would have become the greatest country star. He'd be right there with George Jones. No doubt!!!

No one ever thinks to mention Keith cut his chops singing with the great Dr. Ralph Stanley, alongside Ricky Skaggs in the bluegrass field. As did several other country greats including Vince Gill.

Daryll Worley...he was another 1 who never got the credit he deserved. so many singers in the 90s can relate. its a damn shame.

I saw Keith at one of his last shows in Snead’s Ferry Nc @ The Shrimp Festival. What a voice. No doubt he would have been a mega hit had he lived. I believe he would have been as big as Alan Jackson or Merle Haggard. I hate that the demons of addiction took him away from us like they did Elvis.

I live in Raleigh, NC and was at a second hand store and came across one of the very first ride shirts and bought it. I still have it to this day and wear it on occasions so I don't wear it out. I would love to go on one of his rides and now that I know the actual dates of it I am going to find out more about it and maybe catch the 2018 ride if possible
