7:42 there was a lot of controversy over the baked Alaska fiasco. The show was edited to make it look like sabotage, but Ian himself (and the hosts) were upset over the editing & bullying that followed. His cake was not sitting out for long, under 40 seconds. Diane only took it out because she needed to freeze her own ice cream, and it was taking up her assigned freezer. Confusion had arisen due to two freezers breaking over the weekend, but not everyone was informed of this.
Diana did not cost him the competition at all, he just didn’t have enough time to set his cake
