I used to believe this, but the department store clothing honestly doesn’t look nice for as long as the majority of the more expensive brand name clothing. My Kmart track pants become pilly and misshapen within a few months of wear/wash. My Champion track pants were triple the price and have lasted years and still look good although slightly faded from many many washes. Sure, a high price tag doesn’t guarantee quality, but a cheap starting price almost always indicates poor quality, in my personal experience.

We have a saying in Germany: if you buy cheap you buy twice. Do your research, save money, buy good quality. Don’t get rid of still good stuff, rather make up your mind which thing suits you the most for the longest.

I have to actually disagree... I have a pair of lululemon pants that I spend good money on, and they've lasted me 10 years, and I was able to wear there for the majority of my pregnancy and they didn't lose shape after either. I have even taken a pair of them back to get a hole sewn for no extra charge. I can not say the same for the Amazon pants I bought.

OLD NAVY ones really have impressed me. Amazing quality, keeps it shape after multiple washes, and zero PILLING!

eBay or Poshmark for new with tags leggings!!! I get spanx leggings etc. for $35 instead of $100 or $50 instead of $128 and I will say, spanx held up through pregnancy and still fit- as in the fabric bounces back!!!

I'll be real - I buy second-hand. FB marketplace, Goodwill, Plato's Closet. Anywhere I can find a good deal for athleisure, because ultimately it'll get worn down with my active boy-mom lifestyle anyway 😅

Gap and Old Navy have well made active wear that last and can be had on sale ir with rewards. Lululemon articles cost too much, aren’t well made, and can’t be thrown in the dryer!
