This is not meant to be a fast car, its meant to reach motorway speed in comfort and can cruise at 100mph if need be. Here in UK they are used for taxis, often converted to LPG and are absolute workhorses with every example being 150k+ and above, I found a hybrid version of this that had 306k on the odometer. If you want a fast car, get an E55 AMG that can do 200mph with a simple remap

irgendwie kein Unterschied zu meinem T27 1.8 MDS mit 147 PS .. ausser dass ich nicht schalten muss. Tacho Vollgas ist meiner auch nicht langsamer

you can pass more of 1, 000 km a day and stay a fresh. With audi or bmw and vw you cant have that, that is avensis :) this is car and shasy for long distance, its perfekt

I was thinking my 1.8 is slow... then I saw this and it's even slower... I agree with comments suggesting it feels more like 120PS. 2.0 vtec is flying compared to this POS even in CR-V....

I have Toyota Avensis 1.8 CVT. i could see 220 with it many times. And i wonder is there any speed-limit on the car. Because i felt that it can go faster than 220. I would add that video to youtube but my government can see and punish me, thats why i cant show you:)
